1st. Lt. Jacob Kratt, Jrs REPUBLIC F-84E-25-RE THUNDERJET (#51-0493) engages a North Korean armored troop column attempting to ford a river below.  Lt. Kratt was assigned to the 523rd Fighter Escort Squadron and earned the reputation of being the best MiG killer flying the F-84 in combat.  While over Sinuiju at the Antung Airfield on 23 January 1951, Kratt would score a double kill over two Chinese-flown MiG-15s in less than two minutes.  The 27th Fighter Escort Group would claim four MiGs destroyed, three probable, and four damaged against no losses during this action.  Lt. Kratt would also down a Yak-3 three days later, this would be his final air-to-air victory during the war.
